Fixing to Walls 1

An Introductory class of essential knowledge - What size drill bit and what size rawl plug should I use to fix into a brick wall? How do I get a strong fixing in a hollow wall? How do I drill into a tile without breaking it? This class covers all these questions and more, and gives you an opportunity to have a go at fixing to solid, hollow and tiled walls to build skills & confidence in the tools and techniques so that you can tackle a range of fixing jobs at home.

Putting Up Shelves: Put up a shelf in three ways: on metal brackets, on adjustable track and in a ‘wonky' alcove. Learn how to fix a shelf level onto a wall & cut a shelf to fit into an alcove with walls that are not square.  This class is aimed at people who have already done the “fixing to walls" class as it involves fixing to a hollow wall using two kinds of fixings.  People who have not been to that class are welcome to attend, but there will not be time to fully explain different fixings, size of drill bits etc
